Remembering Judy

1957 — 2015

Judy Aagard passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 5, 2015 after her fight with leukemia. Judy, along with her husband Tim, operated Tiny Tots Diaper Service and Baby Boutique.

When her sickness hit, Judy was beginning plans for the Tiny Tots fiftieth anniversary celebration. Judy’s parents, John and Linda Sparling, and her brother, Larry Sparling, picked up Tiny Tots Diaper Service, then a tiny laundry business, in 1966 and built it into a thriving force for good for the whole Bay Area.

Judy and Tim joined the family business in 1982 when they married. Over the last 33 years, Judy initiated anything that her creative mind could think of to save the planet and encourage people while having fun in the process. She especially liked grand adventures. She had the spark to start the Great Cloth Diaper Change, which set the Guinness Book of World Records for the most simultaneous cloth diaper changes. She developed the Tiny Tots Boutique—a local and online supplier of everything natural for baby—everything for newborns and young families. She also pioneered a host of classes—educating parents in cloth diapering, breastfeeding, car seat safety, CPR for infants, and more.

Judy’s passion for people showed in her love and care of her family and employees. She was a sweet soul who touched many with her spirit and will. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her. She deeply cared for everyone involved in her life. She was a lot to a lot of people. Words cannot possibly contain her character.

Judy was the heart of Tiny Tots — always encouraging, always innovating, always thinking about what’s next. What’s next for Tiny Tots right now, is grieving a fantastic lady who made all of our lives richer and happier.

Judy's favorite non-profit was Heritage Home, a place for pregnant women who have no where else to turn but the streets. Learn more and donate
