Christmas Ornament Tradition
Family traditions, especially around the holidays, leave lasting memories for children. One tradition we have established is letting each child choose a Christmas ornament each year. These ornaments go in a special box with the child’s name on it. When each child grows up and leaves home they will have some memorable ornaments with which to decorate their tree.
Annual Gift Giving Tradition for Mom
As a mom, it’s great getting gifts that our children have made for us. They are so heart warming. Our family has started an awesome tradition that is functional as well. Each year both of our children paint a plate for me as a Christmas present. We take them to Petroglyph’s Art Studio. They paint something that has been a highlight of their year (examples: a picture of a new pet, a memorable place we vacationed, their favorite sport, etc.) We use the plates throughout the year for our daily meals. It’s really fun to see their artwork and remember their highlights throughout the years.
